LEED Points

Summary

The USGBC has recently approved pilot Alternative Compliance Paths (ACPs) that enable companies to pursue new strategies to demonstrate compliance with LEED credits. These pilot ACPs can be used to earn points in the Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ) credit category, for new construction and existing buildings in both LEED 2009 and LEED v4.

With these new pilot ACPs, companies can use technology such as Comfy to demonstrate compliance with LEED credits. Depending on the rating system that their LEED projects are registered under, using technology such as Comfy can help companies earn 1-2 points for thermal comfort control, thermal comfort verification, and thermal comfort monitoring.

LEED Points

Companies can use technology like Comfy to earn 8 points in 6 separate rating systems:

  • LEED 2009 BD+C
  • LEED 2009 ID+C
  • LEED 2009 O+M
  • LEED v4 BD+C
  • LEED v4 ID+C
  • LEED v4 O+M
