Andrew is our CEO and chief building hacker. As a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at UC Berkeley, he worked on software infrastructure for implementing building applications at scale. He has previously worked at Intel, Google, and IBM on energy efficiency and large-scale distributed systems.
Steve is responsible for our backend infrastructure and development. While working on a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, he focused on architecture and infrastructure for wide-scale data collection. He has extensive experience with embedded sensing and large-scale deployments of wireless sensors.
Lindsay leads relationship building and serves as our chief brand evangelist. An established writer in the green building community, she was previously a Sustainable Operations Consultant at Google. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Building Science at UC Berkeley, and was on the original staff team developing the LEED Rating System at USGBC.
Beau leads our vision and future roadmap through collaboration across teams. He champions the user experience—leading product research, prototyping, and directing the design of our products and brand. He holds a Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley. Before Comfy, he was a Senior Interaction and Environments Designer at IDEO.
As our COO, Chitra is responsible for our Go-To-Market and boldly leads our management team. Before Comfy, she held leadership roles at Funding Circle, Salesforce, Schwab, AAA, and the Boston Consulting Group. She holds her MBA from Harvard, an MS in Engineering from Cornell, and her BS from the Indian Institute of Technology.
David bravely leads our Sales team. Before joining Comfy, he spent over five years as the Director of Sales at Opower, and three years as the Manager of Public Policy at General Electric. David received his BA from Bowdoin College and his MBA from George Washington University.
Erica is focused on the value that Comfy can deliver across the buildings industry, all while she helps drive and support client relationships and channel partnerships. Prior to Comfy, Erica spent eight years with Johnson Controls’ Building Efficiency business leading strategy, innovation, and corporate development.
As marketing director, Kelly shares our story and successes with audiences far and wide. Kelly comes to Comfy from Opower, bringing years of cross-functional experience in Marketing, Software as a Service programs, and customer-facing thermal control applications. Kelly holds her MBA from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business.
Elizabeth leads our dev team. She joins us from Amazon—where they dubbed her “Responsive Royalty,” as she led the charge on modernizing their mobile web experience. Before Comfy (and Amazon), she worked at IBM, studied Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin, and spent a year and half in Japan becoming fluent in Japanese.
Katie ensures that Comfy customers are over-the-moon happy. She has over eight years of project management and advocating experience in the green building and energy fields. She holds her BA in German and Music from Bowdoin College, MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School, and is a former EDF Climate Corps Fellow.
Neha manages projects, while ensuring occupant satisfaction and driving value for project stakeholders. Before Comfy, she spent three years at Sustainable Works in Santa Monica—specializing in reducing environmental impact. While at UC Berkeley, she studied Environmental Economics and worked on environmental initiatives.
Kayla manages all post-sales activity. She brings years of experience helping people engage with the built environment. Prior to Comfy, she was responsible for customer success at Lucid—helping enterprise customers realize their energy reduction goals. She holds a BA in Physical and Environmental Geography from California State University, Chico.
Brock manages deployments and drives adoption of Comfy's ever-expanding features and functions. With a Masters degree from the Bren School at UCSB, Brock previously worked as a consultant for large energy utilities and has several years experience with IoT software development and integration.
Kira supports Comfy users by making sure their experience is both easy and gratifying. Originally from Mendocino, CA, she received her BS in Community and Regional Development from the UC Davis and has a background in energy policy, community development, and urban design.
Anna develops and manages our content marketing campaigns. She brings over a decade’s worth of experience as a copywriter, editor, and strategic partnership builder in media and sustainability fields. She holds her MBA in Management and MA in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
Britt builds and maintains Comfy’s digital presence and social media channels, only occasionally breaking a sweat. Radically educated and ad-agency-forged, she quickly found her place in content marketing post liberal arts school. Socially conscious, always caffeinated, and continually iterating—that’s generally how she likes to roll.
Meggy manages Comfy's events and supports the marketing team with media relations and content generation. She recently relocated to SF from New York, where she started her career in the music industry. Meggy holds a BA from Wake Forest University, and identifies as sustainability-obsessed—a lover of all things green, music, and yoga
Erin brings sharp design skills to Comfy’s look and feel. With a master’s degree in Design for Sustainability, work experience at UC Berkeley’s Office of Sustainability & Energy, and standing as a LEED GA: She’s more than a visual designer, she’s committed to creating great design specifically for sustainability projects.
Chris is focused on building a customer-centric sales culture. He joined the Comfy team from Opower, helping leading utilities achieve their energy efficiency targets. Originally from Denmark, Chris moved to the U.S. to pursue an energy-focused MBA at UC Berkeley. Outside of work he spends most of his time trying to keep his sons, Arthor and Finlay, out of mischief.
Brian brings Comfy directly to customers. Previously, he was a go-to-market leader at EnerNOC—engaging strategic enterprise customers and building agricultural demand response programs. He holds an MBA from Cornell University, a BA from Hamilton College, and has earned the Wilderness First Responder designation as an outdoor educator.
Ian brings Comfy’s vision directly to customers. Prior to joining the team, he was a Client Solutions Executive at Opower, as well as working in Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen's Department of Economic Development. Ian received his BA from DePauw University and his MBA from Vanderbilt's Owen School of Management.
Robert brings Comfy’s vision directly to customers. He was previously the Director of Sales at Codeshelf, a startup focused on warehouse automation. He also spent five years at EnerNoc, where he was a top contributor to their Energy Management portfolio. He attended UCLA and claims that’s where he honed his boogie boarding skills.
Drew loves introducing Comfy to customers. Prior to joining the team, he spent 12 years at Automated Logic. Based in Chicago, Drew earned his BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his MBA and MS in Finance from DePaul University. He's a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a LEED AP, and serves as a Climate CoLab Fellow as part of MIT's Center for Collective Intelligence.
Peter earned his BS from Denison University and most recently worked for Opower in Arlington, VA. He was a founding member of their Sales Development team and was also the product demo guru for the Investor Relations team. Peter is a squash and basketball player, and usually has his personal hero, Van Halen, playing on Spotify.
Moh is a Sales Executive passionate about sharing Comfy’s products with the built environment. After earning his MBA from Berkeley, he gained valuable experience implementing sustainability projects at GE Real Estate and JLL. Moh has also focused on the software side of sustainability with stints at Measurabl and Goby.
Nick manages the tech evaluation stage of the sales process—working with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. Prior to joining Comfy, he worked with building integration projects at Lucid. A California native, he often explores the state’s beautiful coastline in his pickup truck, in search of the best places to pitch a tent, ride waves, and cook over a campfire.
Rachel is passionate about driving sales for Comfy. She comes to the West Coast after earning her BA from Bowdoin College. Being a two-sport athlete, she combines her competitive nature with her liberal arts education to continue Comfy’s profound success. When she’s not working out, you can find her exploring SF to find the best eats.
Kyle is focused on driving sales for Comfy and brings clear passion and enthusiasm to the team. Originally from the East Coast, he moved out West to earn his BA in Economics from Occidental College. Outside of work, he is a dedicated musician and spends a majority of his time shredding on the guitar.
Grant leads backend development. After receiving his BS in Computer Science at Stanford, he joined VMware to work on virtual machine software. He later led and grew the engineering team at One Block Off the Grid, a solar sales company. Grant's previous projects include consumer electroencephalography software and embedded systems.
Tyler is a programmer and building scientist. He brings seven years of experience from UC Berkeley's Building Science group, where he worked in energy simulation, thermal comfort, and software development. He earned his MS from New York University, and in his free time, dances teaches, and works extensively with nonprofits.
Eric wrangles backend infrastructure to keep Comfy’s services running smoothly. He comes to the west coast, after five years with the federal government implementing software projects. When not herding servers, you're likely to find him outside running, cycling, or reading a map.
Ian toiled in NY’s content mines for nine years, but after discovering he liked building software tools more than anything else, he went to UC Berkeley to get his master's degree at the School of Information. Outside of work, he volunteers at OpenOakland, tweets about social justice, and chips away at his unfinished novel.
Donovan works to make sure Comfy is easy to use and looks great across devices. He was formerly a lead UI developer and consultant for Perficient. He received his BS in Computer Science from Colorado State University and lives in Minneapolis, MN. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, skiing, cooking, playing board games, and traveling.
Namrata assures that the highest quality product is delivered to Comfy’s clients and users. Armed with a Masters degree from the University of Bristol, she has worked in the QA arena in Singapore, India, and the UK. When she’s not obsessing over Comfy, you’ll find her reading, dancing, traveling, or admiring artwork in a nearby museum.
Nic is the bridge between our customer success and engineering departments. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UCSB and since then has been working as a controls engineer and technician—performing programming and troubleshooting on a variety of different controllers. In in free time, he likes to play indoor and beach volleyball and run around with his rowdy dog.
Sean is excited to be the Operations Manager for Comfy. Prior to Comfy, he spent six years supporting research and education at UC Berkeley. In addition to being an administrative generalist ninja, Sean has also taught, choreographed and performed dance throughout the Bay Area.
