OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA - (Jan. 26, 2016) - Building Robotics, the makers of Comfy™ announced today that it was named in the prestigious 2015 Global Cleantech 100. Produced annually by Cleantech Group, the list represents the most innovative and promising solutions in cleantech.
Andrew Krioukov, CEO of Building Robotics, said, “We are truly honored to be recognized as a leader in sustainable innovation. We created Building Robotics and Comfy to make existing buildings better for people and the environment.”
Krioukov will be sharing insight on future directions of the company and the workplace of the future in the Rising Star session at the Cleantech Forum in San Francisco today.
The Cleantech Group 100-member expert panel reviewed nominations and proprietary research data on almost 7,000 companies from 60 countries to choose the top 100 best positioned to solve the world’s greatest clean technology challenges.
The company’s inclusion in the Global Cleantech 100 list comes fresh off the heels of the public results from an installation of Comfy as part of the U.S. General Services Administration’s Green Proving Ground program. Notable findings from the 80-page report include an 83% increase of workplace comfort while at the same time reducing energy consumption by 20% in cooling and 47% in heating.
Since its product launch in 2014, Comfy has been quickly adopted in offices around the world, including WeWork, Google, Johnson Controls, and Infosys. In late 2015, Building Robotics announced its intention to grow beyond HVAC optimization with the +Comfy ecosystem, further solidifying Comfy’s position as a leader in putting humans at the center of smart buildings.
